Google Earth

Google Earth is an amazing free program with so many possibilities for use in the classroom! To get started you'll need to download and install the program here. Once it's installed, you can open the program, enter an address, location, landmark or point of interest in the "Fly to" space and click enter. Google Earth takes you on an incredible trip without even leaving your chair! There is so much in this program; that the best way to experience it, at least initially, is to explore some of the features on the home page. For example, click Street View, Traffic, Gigipan Photos from the layers list on the left side of the screen.

Once you have mastered the basics, you can check the site below (or millions of others) that have completed lessons already created for you. Happy travels!
